Design of Liquid–Air Hybrid Cooling Garment and Its Effect on Local Thermal Comfort

Personal cooling garments were reported effective in improving thermal comfort hot environments. In this study, three liquid–air hybrid and one control garment designed made: aluminum-tube fan (AAL), silicone-tube (SAL), with inner yarn fabric (YAL), a (CON) without the sources. Subject trials performed by eight female subjects climate chamber to simulate summer indoor working environment at 32 °C 50% relative humidity. The results showed that provided convective conductive heat dissipation compared no-cooling stat, chest, belly, shoulder, back, hand, thigh, calf. horizontal e, resulting decrease local body skin temperature. Compared CON, resulted maximum reduction of 1 for mean torso temperature 1.5 localized shoulder AAL had better effect on SAL, was 0.5 lower than SAL presented comfort. They portable, accessible, sustainable environments air conditioners. Therefore, they could save energy.
